The 43-year-old performance of the country’s foreign trade

The Islamic Republic of Iran has always sought to strengthen the economy and diversity of the export of goods and services, increase foreign exchange earnings and decrease the foreign dependency, manage economic fluctuations, create employment and elevate social welfare and in doing so, the country's non-oil exports have played a very influential and significant role; accordingly, after the victory of the revolution and end of the imposed war, it has expanded economic development programs to improve the various sectors in the country.

By transferring the competition abroad, the act of exporting has empowered the producers via improving the production standards within the country and in addition, it has contributed to the globalization of production and, consequently, to the competitiveness of domestic goods, growth of the production capacities and reduction of the country's unemployment rate.
